If you need a blood test your GP or practice nurse will give you a completed blood test form.  Phlebotomy clinics are now run in the surgery so you don't have to queue or wait a long time in the hospital's outpatient department.  You can book an appointment at our reception, alternatively the GP may send you straight in to our phlebotomist after your consultation - this will depend upon which blood test you need as some do require over night fasting.

Our phlebotomy clinics are held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and start at 8am.  Patients who are on fasting blood tests should not eat for 12 hours prior to the test and may only consume water of a morning.
